Political Blathering.

So I have been watching quite a bit of news lately. I have been trying to sort of stay away from the political postings. Sometimes it is hard for particularly because I have strong opinions. With that said, I figured I might as well throw these thoughts out there.

1. As for the whole Sarah Palin issue and her comments on the Arizona shooting, well you were late sister. Way late. You would have been better off to shut your piehole. Just say something about offering prayers for the victims and their families and let it go. Everyone else had already covered it. Furthermore, you seemed excruciatingly unladylike. And unpresidential. I used to like her, not so much anymore. I get the impression she hasn’t decided if she wants a big payday or a political office. The payday is obviously winning out. Another word that comes to mind is Sell Out. Enough said.

2. On the topic of the Arizona shootings, not to sound hateful but Gabby Giffords was not the only victim. I find it upsetting that she is the only one they talk about and regardless of who it is they have her photo up. Enough already. She is one lucky or blessed lady depending on your perspective. The others were not so lucky. I imagine their families are feeling pretty resentful about now.

On the subject of this I understand Christina Taylor-Green’s organs were donated. Kudos to her parents for the strength to make that decision in the aftermath of such a horrible, and heart wrenching situation.  However, I think it is in terrible taste and extremely unprofessional for the news media to try to find the children the organs went to. Even mentioning the city is, in my opinion, a violation of the patients privacy. Furthermore, what a dreadful lesson in itself for a child to learn. I would think the only thing that really makes the organ transplant program work is the anonymity.  I am sure not that many people in that city had transplants that day. For that matter not many children. I would not be surprised if things did not get litigious.

3. A few years ago when gas prices skyrocketed they were calling for George Bush’s head. Hillary Clinton wanted to seize company profits. Now Gas prices have risen just as high once again and the Democrat’s have nothing to say. Where is the outcry? Where is the disgust? Hypocrisy sucks.

4. The Westboro Baptist church. I don’t think I need to say much more. It seems that any group that has been identified as a hate group could have their tax exempt status taken away, no? It just seems that would be the right thing to do. Not just to him but to any group. If you have been identified as a hate group then bye bye tax break. Eh?

5. While I am at it, did anyone see Shirley Jackson Lee on Cavuto? Oh. My. God. When he pointed out the holes in her logic she tried to imply he was stupid for not understanding.  This is the same woman that admitted to socializing medicine. I am dumbfounded by her. How can she represent Texas?

For the record, we choose to drive a vehicle knowing the implications of that decision. We know that if we choose to drive a vehicle we will have to purchase automobile insurance. That is no where near the same as requiring everyone to purchase it whether they use it or not, which IS what is being proposed with health care.

Now I think I am done for a moment. Have a good day all.
